Description
7a Old Market Street is a building with whitewashed plaster on rubble and a painted plinth. It features a steeply pitched new slate roof with plain eaves and a brick end stack.
On the first floor, there are five windows, of which two are blocked with false sashes and three have modern windows. The windows have plain reveals and stone sills.
The shop front for No. 6 dates from the 19th century and includes plain pilasters, brackets, and a modern blind box. It has a three-light transomed shop window and a recessed doorway to the left, which features a half-glazed door with a rectangular fanlight. There is also a former house doorway to the left with a modern doorway alongside.
The shop front for No. 7 is from the early 20th century and has a central double doorway with a half-glazed door and a rectangular fanlight. This is flanked by two-light shop windows, plain pilasters, brackets, and a blind box.
