Description
Rehoboth Chapel Sunday School is a building constructed from coursed, rock-faced sandstone with dressed key and impost blocks, topped with a slate roof. It features a simple classical style that mirrors the adjacent chapel. The front has a gable end with three bays, plain deep angle pilasters, and windows that display Y-tracery. The central bay includes a round-headed doorway with a Y-tracery overlight and double doors featuring fielded panels. The outer bays contain tall round-headed windows. Above the doorway, there are two round-headed windows, and below the apex, a keyed oculus with a moulded circular vent is present. The eaves are supported by brackets.
The left side wall is rendered and has four renewed windows set in original shallow segmental-headed openings, along with a doorway beyond. The right side wall is partially attached to Schooners Brasserie. At the rear, there are two margin-lit sash windows framed in brick.
Inside, the entrance vestibule features a coloured glass panel and panelled doors on the right and left. The main room's roof is supported by scissor-braced trusses. Directly opposite the entrance is a raised dais with a rere-arch, which includes panelled pilasters and a re-used moulded round arch. To the right and left of the dais, there are doorways leading to small rooms that connect to a rear corridor providing access to service rooms at the back.
