Description
St James Church Hall is a building constructed from brown snecked stone, featuring bathstone banding and dressings, and topped with a slate roof. The south elevation has seven windows, which are highlighted by buttresses. On the west side, there are two single-light windows, and five two-light windows. The east end includes a gabled porch with diagonal buttresses and a three-centred doorway, with timber detailing in the gable apex. Flanking the porch are windows with square heads and cusped tracery, and above the porch is a four-light window in the same style. The north side mirrors the south with similar windows and has a porch that resembles the one on the east, along with two small attached gabled wings. The west end features two windows. Inside, the main hall has an open wooden roof, while there is a smaller hall and service rooms to the west.
