Description

The Statue of Sir Ludwig Mond is a bronze statue depicting a bearded figure dressed in everyday clothing, holding a cane and wearing a long coat and a broad-brimmed soft hat. The statue is signed on the plinth by E. Lanteri and dates from 1912. It stands on a granite pedestal that features a bronze plaque inscribed with the details 'Ludwig Mond F.R.S. L L. D Born March 7th 1839 Died December 11th 1909'. The pedestal includes a plinth with a coved top and is supported by a two-step base, with the top step being chamfered.
