Description

3 and 4 Pont-y-bryn-hurt

Pair of double-fronted one-and-a-half storey cottages (No 3 to L is narrower) of rubble sandstone with stone tile roofs. Coursed, rock-faced stone stacks to R and L added C19. Windows and half dormers have 2-light casements, the doors are boarded, and all openings have stone lintels. The jamb and haunches of a former cart shed opening are visible to extreme R. Lean-tos against gable end are of snecked sandstone to L and rubble to R. Continuous outshuts to rear have openings in brick surrounds replacing earlier blocked openings.

Not inspected at time of survey (August 1997).
