Description

The building is a former skittle alley and tea-room, situated between the canal embankment and the village street. It is a long, narrow structure made of red brick in English bond, topped with a Welsh slate roof and terracotta ridge tiles. The building has two storeys and features a range of margin glazed horned sash windows with brick sills on the first floor. The former doors leading to a verandah have been converted into windows. On the ground floor, there are wide cambered arched windows with small pane glazed heads, along with doorways that have four-panelled doors on either side. There are shallow pilaster supports for the former verandah and tethering rings set into the brickwork. To the right, there is a lower single pitch roof extension. The building has been converted into a store.
