Description
The lychgate in the churchyard of St Gastyn is a timber structure built on an ashlar and rubble saddleback plinth wall. It features a hipped plain tile roof with a terracotta ridge and a slender iron crucifix finial. The roof is supported by deep moulded braces and has two internal bays with trefoil headed mouldings and heavy transoms. The gates are made of wood, adorned with quatrefoils below the rail, and iron with long hinges. The floor is made of stone flags. The adjoining churchyard wall, which is at right angles to the lychgate, has a simpler saddleback coping.
