Description

This listing describes a pair of telephone call boxes located immediately to the south of St Mary's Church Tower. The call boxes feature a domed roof with four lunettes that contain embossed crowns, along with red lettered opals and ventilation slits. The sides and door have raised surrounds and marginal bars on the horizontal glazing. The rear of the boxes is blank, and they stand on a moulded plinth. A foundry plate on the boxes is inscribed with "Carron Company, Stirlingshire."
