Description
The former coach-house and stable range to Hay Castle, likely built in the 17th century, features a rubble chimney stack that has been heightened in brick. The earlier 19th-century single-storey and attic rubble coach house has a small rubble chimney stack to the south of a splayed joint and a modern roof. The coach house displays an advanced and pedimented frontispiece with a thermal attic window above a tall blocked arched entrance, along with an inserted small window and a segmental relieving arch. There is a bullseye window on the left gable end.
The west side has swept roof loft doors and a corresponding coach entrance, as well as a large small-pane window and a modern porch added to the earlier range. The property includes a cobbled courtyard and has been later converted into kitchens and a servants' hall.
