Description
This is an early 20th century, inter-war, cast-iron road sign located at the junction of by-roads to the east of Twyn Allws. The sign features a black and white banded cylindrical post topped with a ring that is inscribed with 'Monmouth CC'. It has arms that point towards Govilon and Gilwern, which display unusually large lettering. This sign is notable as one of the few surviving examples of early road signs in this region.
