Description
The bridge on the River Monnow at Trewyn Mill is a Grade II listed structure, oriented north-south. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. The bridge features a wide central span that is flanked by horseshoe-shaped flood arches. The low parapets, which are likely rebuilt, have copings with chamfered top edges. On the west parapet, there is a square stone plaque marked ‘H.C.C. 104’ indicating Herefordshire County Council. Additionally, a circular metal plaque on the southwest parapet displays the “Brecon Beacons National Park” logo and flag. The bridge has splayed abutments to the north and narrow squared abutments to the south.
