Description
The forecourt piers and railings at Parc-y-Felfet Unitarian Chapel date from the 19th century. They consist of cement rendered square piers and double iron gates, which are flanked by low walls topped with stone coping and iron railings. The central piers feature cement pyramidal caps and tooled stone plinths. There is a similar pair of piers on the outer left, with a rendered wall between them that may indicate a blocked entry. The railings have square uprights arranged in a diamond pattern and distinctive cast-iron triangular pierced arrow-head finials. The gates match the railings with similar finials and also display a large lozenge pattern across each gate. Additionally, there are urn finials on the hanging stiles and a band of circles along the bottom, middle, and top rails.
