Description
The sections of the medieval town wall are constructed from rubble stone embankment walling, featuring various types of stone and several repairs, including some old red sandstone. At the southwest end, next to the donkey stables in Dan-y-banc and below the Carmarthen District Council Offices, there is a tall projection of retaining wall made of red stone, which rises approximately 10 meters high and includes a double plinth and square holes. This section may be of a later date than the much lower, longer stretch of wall located behind the Ivy Bush Hotel, which is situated above a small garden.
