Description
The vestry at Capel Pentre Tygwyn is a building that also served as a stable, constructed from whitewashed rubble stone with a slate roof. It is a single storey structure with a basement. The east end features a chimney that is shared with the adjoining Ty Uchaf. The south front wall has a later 19th-century six-pane sash window on each side of the door, both with timber lintels and slate sills. At the rear, there is a broad stable door with a timber lintel and a small vent loop on each side. Above this door, there are two 20th-century windows.
Inside, the vestry consists of a single room that has an altered fireplace at the east end. Notably, it contains a former chapel pulpit from the early 19th century, which is similar to one found at Cefnarthen, featuring concave curved angles and turned angle shafts.
