Description
The outbuildings to the rear of the Red Lion are a three-sided range constructed from rubble stone with slate roofs. The northern range features a slated dormer above a boarded door, which is positioned over a 20th-century window on the ground floor. To the left, there is a broad door and a high-set window, while a similar window and broad door are found on the right, all adorned with grey limestone voussoirs. The range also includes 20th-century glazed doors and six-pane long windows, with limestone quoins at the left corner. The western end wall is windowless and has dove-holes in the gable.
The eastern range matches the height of the northern range and includes a door at the angle, followed by a window and a coach-entry with a broad arch, all featuring stone voussoirs. There is a lean-to at the rear. This building was extended in the 19th century, with the slate roof carried over a throughway that connects to a shorter range on the right. The front has one door, leading to a lower southern range that is attached. Within the throughway, there is a door and window with stone voussoirs, along with a door above and an outshut at the rear.
The lower southern range has a door leading to the yard on the left and a window on the right, before broad double doors that access the coach-house to the right. A square stone stack is positioned on the ridge in front of the coach-house.
