Description
Glansawdde is a small country house built from multi-coloured crazed rubble stone with Bath stone dressings, featuring slate roofs, terracotta ridges, and large red brick ribbed and corniced stacks. The house is two storeys high. The south front has a central gable with a large segment-headed three-light mullion-and-transom window above a projecting hipped four-light bay. There is a sill course beneath the upper window. To the right, there is a ground floor three-light mullion window and another three-light window above it, which has a top-light over the centre light that extends through the eaves under a small eaves gable. A large red brick stack is located on the roof above, which is hipped at the left angle. The blank end wall features a small two-storey gabled service wing set back, which has a range of two-light windows. To the right of the gable, the main wall is set back and includes a slate-roofed veranda.
The east end facing the road has a half-hipped gable to the left with a two-light window above a bay window, and a two-light window on each floor to the right. The rear of the house has two half-hipped gables over segmental-pointed two-light first floor cross windows, a hipped bay on the ground floor to the left, and a three-light centre stair light.
