Description
Siddington House is a small country house built in the late 19th century. It features coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins and flush stone dressings, topped with a stone slate roof. The house has ashlar stacks with grouped diagonally set flues and a moulded cornice. The large U-shaped structure has two storeys, with attics in the rear range. The front, facing northeast, displays two large overhanging gables and a projecting gabled porch to the left of centre, which has a decorative timber overhang and a four-centred stone archway with double doors. To the right, there is a projecting square bay with a hipped roof. The fenestration is scattered, featuring stone mullions on the first floor, some with decorative leading, and stone mullions with transoms on the ground floor. A string course runs between the floors. The rear wing includes a large projecting bay with a monogram "B" in the parapet wall. On the southeast side, there are two small gables flanking a larger projecting gabled bay. The interior of the ground floor is largely intact, while the upstairs has not been inspected.
