Description
Pontamman Bridge is a single arch stone bridge with an approximate span of 18 meters. It features a clear longitudinal break between the earlier western part and the later eastern part. The western section is constructed from small coursed stone and has an unusual design with arch voussoirs of alternate sizes. The eastern side is made of squared rubble masonry with black-ash mortar. The arch includes stone voussoirs and a keystone. Both sides of the bridge have parapets topped with large rock-faced coping stones that have tooled arises.
