Description
Llandybie Bridge is a stone bridge featuring a slightly skewed high segmental main span that measures approximately 6 meters. On the east side of the main channel, there is a smaller span about 1.5 meters wide, which is constructed similarly and may functionally connect with the nearby listed corn mill as a tail-race arch. The bridge is built from masonry primarily consisting of axe-squared limestone laid in snecked courses, with much of the masonry, including the voussoirs, being rock-faced. The carriageway is about 7 meters wide between parapets that are approximately 0.9 meters high. The flat parapet copings are also rock-faced and made of limestone, although some of the copings are in gritstone. At the southeast end, the parapet features a small return to the river bank.
