Description
The churchyard gates to Llanboidy churchyard consist of two open-work cast-iron gatepiers and double iron gates. The gatepiers feature a plinth adorned with four scrolls, leading to shafts that display a pattern of opposed half-circles intersected by a mirrored serpentine curve. At the top, there is a Celtic cross pattern formed of fleur-de-lys within a circle. Each pier is topped with a corniced cap that supports a concave pyramid standing on ball finials.
The twin gates are designed with top-rails that ramp down, a double middle rail, and two double bottom rails. The lower half of the gates includes dog-bars, and they are finished with lotus finials.
