Description
Emlyn Castle, also known as All Kings Premises, is a large house and shop built in the early to mid 19th century. The structure is made of rubble stone, which was formerly covered in stucco, and features a slate roof with stone end stacks, the larger stack located on the right side.
The building is tall, with three storeys and a three-window range. The upper floor has six-pane sash windows, while the first floor features twelve-pane sash windows. The window heads are cambered and made with cut stone voussoirs, all of which have been renewed, likely replacing the original flat heads. On the ground floor, there is one window on the left with 20th-century glazing and renewed stonework. The large late 19th-century shopfront includes plate glass windows on either side of recessed double panelled doors with an overlight. It is framed by timber side pilasters with carved brackets, a fascia, and a moulded cornice. This shopfront is set within a large lean-to shelter supported by iron posts. At the back, there are paired wings with hipped roofs and yellow brick end stacks.
