Description
The Three Horseshoes Inn is an early to mid 19th century inn, believed to date from 1806, although its exterior appears to be from a later period. The building is rendered and features a slate roof with two brick end stacks. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range of small arched sashes, which include radiating glazing bars in the heads and slate sills. The entrance is a 20th century door located in a hipped 19th century timber porch that also has a slate roof. There is a single storey outbuilding at the eastern end, which has a slate roof and a stable door with ventilation slots in the upper half. The rear of the building originally had an outshut but has since been extended with large 20th century additions. Inside, there is a large timber lintel above the fireplace at the western end.
