Description
Hurst House is a Georgian building dating from 1797. It is three stories tall with a three-window rendered front that slightly advances from the flanking two-story lean-tos. There are outbuildings positioned forward to the left and a modern addition to the right. The house features a slate roof, a cornice with diagonally set bricks, and rubble chimney stacks. The second floor has casement windows, while the lower floors and the lean-to have sash windows. The arched entrance leads to a scribed panelled door, which is below a plaque that reads: "This House and offices were erected by G P Watkins Esq. Anno Domini 1797." The rear of the house is rendered and two stories high, with five windows and small-pane glazed sash windows, along with a further lower whitewashed rubble lean-to on the southern end.
