Description

28 Stone Street is a house in a terrace that has 2 bays and 3 storeys, making it a storey taller than its neighbouring buildings. It features a slate gabled roof with painted stuccoed chimney stacks on both the left and right sides, and it has renewed deep bracketed eaves. The facade is painted lined stucco with a plinth. All the windows have been replaced with hornless sashes; the second floor has 9-pane windows, while the others have 12 panes. The door is located in the right bay and is accessed by two slate steps leading up to a 20th-century panelled door with a plain rectangular overlight. This door is set in a panelled recess that has a renewed doorcase with panelled pilasters and console brackets supporting a flat shelf. The end walls are rendered and windowless, with the right wall featuring a date plaque at the top left that reads, "This pine end built at the expense of Mr Price and Mr JT Davies 1881." The interior has not been inspected.
