Description
Well Cottage is a house dating from the 19th century, featuring painted stucco and two storeys. It has a three-window range and a slate roof with small rendered stacks at either end. The first floor has three long 12-pane sash windows with slate sills, and 20th-century shutters have been added. The central door is set within a later 19th-century timber doorcase, which has console brackets supporting a cornice topped with lead capping. Above the door is a small rectangular overlight. Flanking the door are later 19th-century three-sided timber bay windows with dwarf walls. These bay windows have marginal glazed sashes, with broader windows at the front and narrower lights with margins at the heads and bases on the canted sides. They also feature moulded cornices and flat roofs. To the left of the main house is a single-storey outbuilding. The front garden is enclosed by a painted rubble wall, complemented by wrought iron railings and a gate.
