Description
This is a two-storey house from the early 19th century, located at 4 Church Street. The front is made of colourwashed plaster on a rubble base, featuring a black plinth. It has a gently pitched slate roof with plain eaves and a rubble chimney stack on the right side.
On the first floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows with plain reveals. The ground floor has a similar sash window on the right. The central entrance features a round arched doorway with a blind fanlight above it. The door, dating from the late 19th century, has twin glazed vertical panels over a horizontal middle panel, all of which are moulded, above two flush bottom panels. To the left, there is a broader round arched doorway leading to a tunnel passage, which has a blind fanlight over a plank door, set slightly below street level.
