Description

21 Bridge Street is a Tudor style villa built around 1825. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure made of coursed rubble masonry with ashlar dressings. The villa features steeply pitched slate roofs with a leaded ridge and rendered end stacks, along with raking gable parapets.

The three bays are divided by pilasters topped with Tudor finials. The central bay has a blocking course above a two-light stone mullioned window with four-centred heads and stressed spandrels, which return to a moulded label. The window is framed by stone voussoirs and has small paned Gothic sashes. The closed stone porch has clasping pilasters with Tudor finials and a gabled roof behind the blocking course, featuring a four-centred archway with stone voussoirs.

The gabled flanking bays have similar two-light stone mullioned windows with four-centred heads and stressed spandrels on the first floor, with stone voussoirs above. The ground floors feature three-light windows with Victorian sashes. The end elevations have truncated gables with stacks and a string course, with three windows on the first floor. The left and centre windows are blind, while the right window is a bipartite Gothick small paned sash with stone voussoirs.

There is a small two-storey extension on the right gable end, which has a slate roof and small pane uPVC glazing. Later modern extensions are attached to the left end elevation.
