Description
Llandawke is an L-plan building dating from the late Georgian period, featuring two-storey elevations that are currently covered in modern cement render, which was previously stucco. The building has a plinth and a hipped slate roof with wide bracket eaves and cement render end chimney stacks. The front facade includes recessed small pane horned sash windows, with a 16-pane window on the ground floor. There is a central open pedimented doorcase that holds a recessed half-glazed door, flanked by traceried side and over lights, with stone steps leading up to it. The side elevations have two windows, although the windows towards the front on the right side are blocked, and there is a basement opening to the left. At the rear, there is a three-bay extension (No 2) that is also cement rendered and has a separate roof, featuring similar architectural details but shallower windows, along with a gabled rear porch. A further attached range was demolished after the war. Inside, the building retains six-panel doors, panelled reveals, and a staircase with a turned newel, although there have been alterations due to conversion.
