Description

The former Cartridge Magazine is a single-storey structure built of mass concrete, featuring a gabled slate roof. It has four large arched buttresses on each side that connect to the surrounding retaining wall. The north side includes a lean-to porch with a side entry, while the south end has a roundel window. The front wall, which has a gateway, extends west from the surrounding wall of the Main Magazine and is also made of concrete. Inside, the building has a tunnel-vaulted ceiling constructed of brick.
