Description
Pembroke Castle Shop is a single-storey rubble stone building located at the approach to the castle. It features a roof covered with plain concrete tiles and has stone stacks at each end. The facade is slightly offset to the left and includes three openings: a central door flanked by two recessed 20th-century casement windows set in splayed full-length reveals. The end walls are rendered, and the rear wall is also rendered.
At the rear, there is a sub-basement that is accessible from the garden level, which has a central door and two loops. The basement features a curved stone vault running north to south, with splayed reveals to the loops on the entrance wall and a blocked doorway in the southeast corner. There is a stone bench on the south end wall and two recesses, along with a straight joint to the right of the center. Inside the shop, there are three pegged collar trusses.
