Description
Clifton House is a terraced house built with painted stucco and an imitation slate roof. It is at the same height as the roof of No 6 to the left and features a roughcast left stack. The building has a basement and three storeys, with two bays. The basement includes a square-headed door on the left and a small square fixed window above a flight of ten broad cemented steps, which are bordered by iron railings leading up to an early 20th-century hipped porch on the ground floor to the right. The porch has a moulded cornice, three front lights with arched heads on the upper panes, and a half-glazed door with an overlight to the side at the top of the steps. To the left of the porch is an early 20th-century canted oriel window with 2-4-2 panes, also featuring a moulded cornice and a hipped slate roof. On the first floor, there are two long 4-pane sash windows, while the top floor has two similar shorter sash windows. The window bays are offset to the right. The right end wall is rendered and has a small window on the top floor to the left. The rear of the house is roughcast and includes a two-storey rear wing. Inside, the stair is located on the right, with the principal rooms on the left.
