Description
The building is a large lofted outbuilding, along with wings and a gin-house, located at Camrose Home Farm. It dates from the 19th century and features a hipped grouted close-eaved slate roof. The two-storey front facing the farmyard has three square loft lights with cambered brick heads situated under the eaves, and on the ground floor to the left, there is a door with cut stone voussoirs and a keystone. There is also a mark of a similar door in the stonework to the left of this door. The rear of the building includes three loft lights with cambered brick heads, and broad doors on each side of the ground floor, which also have cambered stone voussoirs and a keystone, along with a centrally located cambered brick-headed window.
Attached to the building is a large octagonal horse-engine house supported by six stone piers, featuring seven open sides and a complex timber roof that includes flat beams leading to a central hub, a centre post, and raking struts. To the right, there is an L-plan single-storey range of outbuildings, which is hipped at an angle and at the southern end. The southern-facing range has six doors with brick heads, while the western-facing range has three similar doors and an altered door to the right. The northern rear side has three small vent loops and two doors, and the eastern return features a 20th-century broad opening that has been cut in.
