Black Bridge is a cottage dating from the late 18th century and mid 19th century, constructed with colourwashed roughcast and featuring a slate roof with brick end wall stacks. The building is two storeys high; the ground floor retains its original 18th-century structure, while the upper floor, added around 1860, is made of brick. The front garden is enclosed by a curving rubble wall.
