Description
Ramoth Baptist Church is an 1868 Baptist chapel constructed from rubble stone with cut Cilgerran stone dressings and a slate roof. The building features paired brackets at the eaves and a gable front that includes two long arched side windows. In the center, there is a tall narrow arched recess above a pair of small arched windows and an arched door. The windows are small paned with marginal glazing bars, and the entrance has double 6-panel doors topped with a fanlight that has concentric bars. A plaque on the building reads 'Ramoth' Addoldy y Bedyddwyr Adeiladwyd 1826, Ailadeilwyd 1868'. There are two long arched windows on each side and two at the rear.
Inside, the church features a three-sided gallery supported by cast-iron fluted columns, with long horizontal panels and curved corners. The interior also includes box pews and a pulpit with a curved front, with steps on each side that have carved finials on the newel-posts.
