Description

The retaining wall to the south of Town Quay is constructed of rubble stone and was restored in the late 20th century. It is highest at the western end near Pembroke Castle, where it stands behind the Pembroke Castle shop and features some rebuilt crenellations. The wall extends behind a rebuilt former warehouse, which is now the Pembroke Watersports centre, and includes various relieving arches above the bedrock. As the wall descends towards the east, there are some blocked doors and joist holes that indicate the presence of former buildings.
