Description
The building is a stable that adjoins Greenway Farm, dating from the early 19th century. It is a linear, lofted structure that steps down from the adjoining farmhouse. The exterior is made of limewashed squared rubble, topped with a moderately pitched slate roof and featuring a plinth eaves.
On the left side, there is a cartshed with a broad stone voussoir arch and ventilation openings for the doors. It also has a wooden shutter for a small loft opening located under the eaves. To the right is the stable, which is accessed through a passage. This section features a later brick voussoir arch and a small paned fanlight above a plank door, along with a ventilation slit to the right and a wooden shutter for a small loft opening under the eaves.
The upper gable end is slate hung and includes a loft window, while a stable window below it has been blocked. There is a stone lintel above this window. A loft doorway is located in the center of the rear elevation, with the stable's rear mirroring the front.
Additionally, there is a good farmyard wall that adjoins the stable. This wall is constructed of rubble masonry and features half-round gatepiers that are rebated for a gate.
