Description
The building is a cartshed adjoining Greenway Farm, dating from the early 19th century. It is a linear, lofted structure that steps down from the adjacent farmhouse. The exterior is made of limewashed squared rubble and features a moderately pitched slate roof with plinth eaves.
On the left side, the cartshed has a broad stone voussoir arch and ventilation openings for the doors, along with a wooden shutter covering a small loft opening beneath the eaves. To the right, there is a stable accessed through a passage. This section has a later brick voussoir arch and a small paned fanlight above a plank door, with a ventilation slit to the right and a wooden shutter for a small loft opening under the eaves.
The upper gable end is slate-hung and includes a loft window, while a stable window below it is blocked, featuring a stone lintel. There is a loft doorway located in the center of the rear elevation, and the stable's rear matches the front in design.
Adjoining the building is a good farmyard wall made of rubble masonry, which includes half-round gatepiers that are rebated for a gate.
