Description

This is a red-painted cast-iron telephone kiosk located outside the Town Hall. It features a shallow Soaneian domed top and has three sides embossed with the Elizabeth II crown above a translucent glazed panel that is lettered "Telephone." The sides and front door are glazed with eight horizontal panes, along with marginal panes set in a raised surround. The door is made of wood and has a cast-iron glazing frame. The rear of the kiosk is blank and displays the founder's mark of Lion Foundry Co. Ltd., Kirkintilloch.
