Description

This is a red-painted cast-iron telephone kiosk featuring a shallow Soaneian dome. The dome has embossed Elizabeth II crowns in lunettes above glazed panels that display the word "Telephone" in red capitals. The two sides and the door of the kiosk are fitted with glazing consisting of eight horizontal panes, along with marginal panes, all framed by raised moulded surrounds. The door itself is made of wood and includes a cast-iron glazing insert. The rear of the kiosk is blank and bears the maker's mark.
