Description
The gates and gate-piers at the west driveway to Cresselly House are a notable feature from the 19th century. They consist of a double set of square, ashlar gate-piers that stand on plinths and are topped with pyramidal caps, which are lower on the outer pair, and ball finials. The inner pair of gate-piers displays shields that once featured metal crests of the Allen family of Cresselly, which are now missing, along with a dove and an olive branch. The driveway is accessed through double ironwork spear gates, with similar fixed ironwork railings at the outer openings. Additionally, there are quadrant rubble flanking walls that enhance the overall design.
