Description
West Lodge is an L-plan Victorian stone lodge that has been rendered with cement. It stands 1½ storeys tall under a slate roof adorned with tiled crestings and finials, featuring plain bargeboards and oversailing eaves. The building has ashlar dressings and 4-pane horned sash windows. The gable facing the road has one window and includes a canted bay on the ground floor, a single-gabled dormer at the inner angles, a ground-floor splayed bay to the left, and a half-glazed door to the right. The lodge is complemented by dwarf stone gate-piers set into the garden wall, which are topped with pyramidal caps and ball finials.
