Description
The gate and gate-piers at the former south driveway to Cresselly House are a pair of square, ashlar gate-piers featuring rock-faced rubble panels and decorative cornices with crockets and rosettes. The block pedestals rise through pyramidal caps and have polygonal bases topped with elaborate ball-finials. The pedestals are panelled and originally displayed metal crests from Allen of Cresselly, which are now missing. There is a single, side-hung timber gate that resembles the one at Lanesend on the eastern drive. This gate includes ironwork bars, which are partly missing, and features a diagonal brace with scrolled ends and pierced timber panels at the bottom.
