Description
The gates and gate-piers at the North Driveway to Cresselly House are a Grade II listed feature. They consist of a double set of square, ashlar gate-piers set on plinths, topped with pyramidal caps, which are slightly lower on the outer pair, and adorned with ball finials. The inner gate-piers display shields featuring a bronze dove and olive branch, representing the crests of the Allen family of Cresselly. The driveway is accessed through double wrought-iron spear gates, accompanied by similar fixed ironwork railings at the outer openings. Additionally, there are quadrant rubble flanking walls with low pyramidal capped gate-piers leading to the lodge.
