Description
Winterton is a farmhouse constructed with unpainted lined stucco, which is currently covered with creeper, and features a slate roof with rebuilt brick end stacks. The building is three storeys high and has a three-window range of horned sash windows, with 6-pane windows in the attic and 12-pane windows elsewhere. A roughcast porch has been added to the center, which includes a west side door and fixed 12-pane windows at the front and east. Inside the porch, there is a half-glazed door.
To the left of the main house, there is a single-storey outbuilding that has a brick west stack and a 20th-century bow window with 8-12-8 panes. The rear of the main house features an outshut. The main house also has a three-storey northwest rear wing with a rendered north stack. On the west side of this wing, there are two 4-pane attic sashes, two 4-pane square sashes on the first floor, and a 20th-century window on the ground floor. The north end has a lean-to with a west-facing garage door. The rear of the northwest wing includes an outshut with rubble stone walls to the north and east, as well as a hipped stair tower located at the angle to the front range.
