Description
The former church school is a single-storey building designed in the Gothic style, constructed from purple rubble stone with yellow limestone ashlar dressings and a roof covered in small green slates. It features coped gables and a steeply gabled bellcote at the north end. The building has an ashlar chamfered plinth, a chamfered eaves course, quoins, and windows with mullions and transoms.
On the east side, there are two three-light windows and two external chimney breasts with ashlar circular shafts. To the left, an original shouldered-headed doorway is obscured by a modern addition at the southeast angle. The south end includes one three-light window and a cusped lancet vent in the gable. The west side has three similar two-light windows. Although the north end has a modern lean-to addition, it retains a cusped lancet vent in the gable.
The property is enclosed by a rubble stone wall featuring two sets of gatepiers facing the road.
