Description

This is an early 19th century pair of cottages, now combined into a single house. The exterior is of rubble stone with a slate roof, and features three prominent stone chimney stacks. The cottages are one storey high, with a loft space, and each has two 12-pane sash windows on either side of the central front door. The door and window openings are topped with red brick arches. The ground slopes, so the windows and door of the upper cottage are set higher, closer to the eaves, than those of the lower cottage. The front doors are four-panelled. A loft window is visible in the west end wall. Four modern dormers have been added to the rear elevation.
