Description
The Cheltenham Houses are two shops with living accommodation above, constructed in painted stucco and topped with slate roofs. This tall four-storey-and-attic building features a four-window range, complete with a moulded cornice and a parapet. It has four gabled dormers that contain 6-pane sash windows. The third and second floors are fitted with twelve-pane horned sash windows. On the first floor, there are two canted oriel windows with hipped slate roofs, displaying 3-9-3-pane glazing, where the centre lights are fixed. The two shop fronts on the ground floor have been altered since 1977 and no longer feature doorways in the centre. The rear of the building is rendered and also four-storey, showcasing twelve-pane sashes arranged in three bays, with the first bay on the left featuring 9-pane stair lights at mid height. There are 20th-century dormers located behind the parapet.
