Description
This is a pair of limekilns, likely built in the early 19th century, located on the Eastern Quay. One kiln is circular and intact, while the other is square and partially demolished; both were restored around 1975. Each kiln stands approximately 3 meters high and features a rubble-faced ramp leading up from the north. The northern kiln has a parapet and Dewisland-type tapering kiln-eyes. The southern kiln retains a kiln-eye on its northern side, with a crucible exposed due to the collapse of its front and southern side. There is rubble walling between the kilns, along with steep steps leading up.
