Description
Penporthclais is a two-storey house made of colourwashed rubble stone, featuring a low-pitched grouted slate roof and rendered end stacks. The building has a low upper floor and is double fronted, with a central door flanked by a pair of large buttresses that support a slated porch roof. On the ground floor, there are small 9-pane sash windows on each side of the door, while the first floor has a pair of casement windows on the left and a single casement window on the right, all with painted slate sills.
To the south, there is a lower range attached to the main house, which has a large south end stack, a grouted roof, and a central door with a window on each side. This section features 20th-century glazing. The lower range to the north has a slate roof and two glazed doors.
