Description

1 Goat Street is a late 19th-century terrace of four houses built of rubble stone with slate roofs, and featuring four roughcast stacks. Each house is two storeys high and has two windows, with 12-pane sashes. The ground floors each have one window and a door to the right. Openings are topped with red brick arches. The original four-panel doors with traceried overlights remain only at No. 5, although the original overlights are also present at Nos. 1, 5 and 7. No. 7 has been altered since 1981 with the replacement of its windows with plastic-coated windows. The houses have steps leading up to the front doors and basement windows visible at pavement level. Caerbwdy stone quoins are visible at the north-western angle, and the west wall is roughcast.
